Summary
Cimarron is a global solutions company that delivers customer-driven technology solutions and services. The Software Engineer will support Orion MPCV Spacecraft docking GNCP RPOD software development, validation, and verification, including creating Python-based tests, reviewing regression tests, running software and hardware test beds, and collaborating with engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Review and understand requirements and their parts success criteria
- Create test cases/test scripts in Python to fully verify success criteria
- Follow a process of developing Python based testing through a final qualification review
- Review existing GNCP verification tests in regression; identify any failings, understand the issues and implement corrections
- Run both software and hardware test beds
- Collaborate effectively with team members, outside mode teams, developers and principal engineers
Skills
- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time
- 2 or more years of software verification experience
- Strong Python skills required
- Experience with Doors Requirements Management tool
- Experience with Hardware/Software Integration
- This position requires a capable, self-motivated person with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Along with strong software expertise, this person must also be able to work cohesively with a team, build strong customer relationships and be willing to take on new and challenging tasks as they arise
- Bachelors degree in a Computer/Information Science, Engineering or related field
