Summary
Cognizant is seeking a Billing Specialist to support its finance and operations team. The role prepares and issues invoices, responds to billing inquiries, resolves discrepancies, reviews billing accuracy, and communicates with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Provide billing support to Project Managers by preparing and issuing invoices in accordance with customer requirements and project billing schedules
- Respond to billing inquiries and resolve invoice-related issues in a timely and professional manner
- Review billing information for accuracy and ensure compliance with customer guidelines and internal processes
- Utilize strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot billing discrepancies and recommend solutions
- Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding billing matters
Skills
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to work overtime as needed, specifically from the 1st through the 4th of each month, regardless of whether those dates fall on a weekday, weekend, or holiday
