Summary
Command Post Technologies, Inc is seeking a Junior Systems Engineer to support the Gun Weapon Systems Division at NSWC Dahlgren. This role involves supporting U.S. Navy gun weapon system development, evaluation, and sustainment programs in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Support systems requirements management and systems engineering design activities for E30 Gun Weapon Systems programs
- Assist with systems integration engineering and test and evaluation planning and execution
- Utilize systems engineering software tools to support documentation and requirements traceability
- Participate in system design reviews, working groups, and technical interchange meetings
- Prepare technical documentation, requirements specifications, and systems engineering artifacts
- Support senior engineers in systems performance analysis and trade study activities
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline
- 0–2 years of experience in systems engineering or related technical field
- Familiarity with systems engineering processes and tools (e.g., SysML, MBSE tools, or equivalent)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation
- Secret clearance (strongly desired); must be eligible to obtain
- Academic or internship experience with defense or naval systems engineering
- Familiarity with DoD systems engineering lifecycle processes
- Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Rhapsody, or similar)
