Field Engineer Intern

Concrete Strategies is the nation’s leading full-service, design-build, turnkey concrete contractor. As a Field Engineer Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience in construction operations, collaborating with project teams to support various construction projects from inception to completion.

Responsibilities

• You'll be on the frontlines, assisting with site preparation, inspections, and ensuring that construction activities adhere to safety standards and project plans
• Participate in hands-on construction activities, such as concrete pouring, framing, finishing, and various specialized trades
• You'll help maintain accurate project documentation, including blueprints, schedules, and progress reports, ensuring that all project stakeholders are well-informed
• Assist in maintaining a safe work environment, promoting adherence to safety protocols and regulations to protect all personnel on the site
• You'll learn to take accurate measurements, track quantities of materials used, and assist in project cost estimation and budget management
• Collaborate with general contractors, vendors, and various teams to coordinate schedules, tasks, deliveries, logistics and ensure smooth operations on-site
• You'll learn how to perform quality checks and inspections, ensuring that the work meets specifications and quality standards
• Learn to lead and manage, and work alongside teams of skilled tradespeople and laborers, facilitating effective communication and collaboration
• Participate in identifying and addressing on-site challenges, helping to find creative solutions to keep the project progressing smoothly
• Participate in client meetings and updates, contributing to effective communication and client satisfaction
• Engage in continuous learning, training sessions, and mentorship opportunities to enhance your technical skills and industry knowledge

Skills
