Summary
Concrete Strategies is a full-service, design-build, turnkey concrete contractor specializing in commercial and industrial projects across the United States. The Field Engineer Intern will support construction projects through site operations, hands-on construction activities, documentation, safety oversight, measurement, coordination, quality control, and client interaction while developing technical and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Site Operations & Supervision: You'll be on the frontlines, assisting with site preparation, inspections, and ensuring that construction activities adhere to safety standards and project plans
- Construction Tasks: Participate in hands-on construction activities, such as concrete pouring, framing, finishing, and various specialized trades
- Project Documentation: You'll help maintain accurate project documentation, including blueprints, schedules, and progress reports, ensuring that all project stakeholders are well-informed
- Safety Oversight: Assist in maintaining a safe work environment, promoting adherence to safety protocols and regulations to protect all personnel on the site
- Measurement and Analysis: You'll learn to take accurate measurements, track quantities of materials used, and assist in project cost estimation and budget management
- Coordination: Collaborate with general contractors, vendors, and various teams to coordinate schedules, tasks, deliveries, logistics and ensure smooth operations on-site
- Quality Control: You'll learn how to perform quality checks and inspections, ensuring that the work meets specifications and quality standards
- Team Leadership: Learn to lead and manage, and work alongside teams of skilled tradespeople and laborers, facilitating effective communication and collaboration
- Problem Solving: Participate in identifying and addressing on-site challenges, helping to find creative solutions to keep the project progressing smoothly
