Full-Stack Developer

Summary

Cross Field is hiring a full-stack developer to build client-facing products and internal tools. The role involves developing Node.js APIs and backend services, managing PostgreSQL databases, shipping React frontend features, contributing to architecture decisions, and maintaining code quality across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain REST APIs and backend services with Node.js
• Design and manage PostgreSQL schemas and queries
• Ship frontend features with React, integrating cleanly with APIs
• Work across multiple client projects simultaneously
• Contribute to architecture decisions on new projects
• Participate in code reviews and uphold quality standards

Skills

• Solid experience with Node.js for backend development
• Comfortable with React on the frontend — not just copy-pasting components
• Good understanding of relational databases and SQL (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Able to own tasks end-to-end without constant guidance
• Reliable communicator who keeps projects moving forward
• Experience with TypeScript across the full stack
• Familiarity with Docker and container-based deployments
• Prior work in an agency or multi-project environment
