Summary
Novanta develops engineered components and subsystems for healthcare and advanced manufacturing, with this position supporting its ATI Industrial Automation business unit. The Application Engineer will manage Tool Changer and Material Removal product lines, provide technical support, demonstrate robotic solutions, develop applications, and support customers across the US and Mexico.
Responsibilities
- Provide product technical support to customers in the pre-sale and post-sale process
- Accompany sales personnel on customer visits to identify new opportunities and assist in closing sales by providing technical expertise and product knowledge
- Conduct product demonstrations using Robots and presentations to showcase product capabilities at tradeshows, conferences, and customer sites
- Develop novel applications for ATI products using Robots and publish videos and application notes
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions to customers in a timely fashion
- Use Salesforce for case management and customer support
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to drive product and process innovation
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Controls, or related Engineering discipline
- Spanish and English fluency
- 3 to 5 years of experience in an engineering role, preferably in the automation industry
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes
- Experience and familiarity with Robot (Fanuc, ABB, Kuka, etc.) programming is desirable
- Experience with SolidWorks and MS Office Suite
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members and clients
