Associate Applicaton Engineer

Summary

White Cap is a building materials company committed to being knowledgeable, capable, and dependable in supporting construction projects. The Associate Application Engineer performs routine engineering work, including structural calculations, bills of material, application engineering functions, job-site visits, and assistance with sales efforts.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties as assigned by Engineer Manager or Senior Application Engineer
• Performs structural engineering calculations as they relate to the application products
• Prepares Bills of Material
• Performs Application Engineering Functions
• Visits job sites
• Assist Account Managers in sales efforts

Skills

• Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Certification may be required in some areas. Generally 0-2 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 0-1 year of experience in a related field
• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time
• Must be proficient in AutoCAD
• Experience in reading blueprints
• Prefer experience in using structural analysis software for simple beam and column elements structure is a plus
• Prefer experience in structural engineering as it relates to either steel, cast-in-place concrete, precast or tilt construction
