Summary
DICK’S Sporting Goods is a sporting goods retailer committed to equipping athletes and fostering an inclusive workforce. The Assistant Print and Textile Designer supports Print & Textile Designers in developing and executing graphic designs for vertical brands, from concept through final sample and in-store product. The role also contributes to trend research, seasonal presentations, creative boards, and collaboration with design, product development, merchandising, and merchant teams.
Responsibilities
- Assist in execution of the design process for the given brand from conceptualization to in-store product
- Keep current on design and companywide initiatives related to vertical brands
- Ability to respond to business objective with creative and innovative design solutions
- In partnership with Print & Textile Designer, assist in designing/creating compelling graphics artwork for Vertical brands
- Assist with research and reporting on industry trend direction, technique and color for the season
- Support with research and creation of presentations for designers and design director new product and directional ideas for each season
- Manage integrity of brand by attending follow-up meetings
- Ability to successfully manage workload
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with partners in design, product development and merchandising
- Assist, prep, and present overall concepts with design team and merchants each season
- Assist in creating innovative graphic appropriate designs and assist in presenting when needed, to merchant team with an open mind to critique and direction
- Work closely with Print & Textile Designer to create and maintain creative boards that conducts trend vision for the season. This includes building and updating seasonal CAD boards to help present vision for the season
Skills
- BA or BS in Art/Graphic Design, Business, Marketing or Communications
- 1 - 3 years of related experience
