Job description
Summary
DICK'S Sporting Goods is a sports retailer seeking an Outbound Logistics Analyst I to support operational and strategic initiatives for its Outbound Logistics Department. The role focuses on KPI development and analysis, freight and cost management, process improvement, and collaboration with internal and external partners to improve carrier performance and goods movement.
Responsibilities
- Lead store to store transfer execution, Outbound freight claims, KPI design and publication to drive carrier performance initiatives including SLAs to support on time delivery goals and quarterly business reviews
- Support Outbound Logistics cost savings initiatives and identify process improvement opportunities that align with department goals
- Support the Assistant Manager - Logistics with freight procurement, rate management, monthly financial reporting, budgeting, and ad hoc projects
- Partner with multiple internal departments including Distribution, Store Ops, Vendor Relations, Finance, and IT to support project plans and business initiatives
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree focus in Business, Finance, Logistics or Supply Chain
- 1 – 3 years' knowledge of the transportation industry
- General appreciation for Supply Chain technology solutions, including TMS, WMS, Yard Management and EDI
- Ability to analyze large amounts of raw data and summarize into clear, accurate, meaningful, value-added reports and analyses
- Ability to work effectively in cross functional teams
- Strong systems aptitude with a working knowledge in transportation systems support
- Customer focused with strong interpersonal skills
Qualifications
