Summary
Divcon is a company headquartered in Dallas, Texas, specializing in integrated automation solutions for HVAC, lighting, and power systems. They are seeking a Traveling Project Manager to oversee the installation and commissioning of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget while managing client relationships and project documentation.
Responsibilities
- Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely completion
- Oversee installation subcontractors and Controls Technicians during commissioning
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients to address concerns and manage expectations
- Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure smooth execution
- Obtain, organize, and maintain all project contract documents
- Review and approve engineering submittals and technical drawings before handoff
- Track and manage change orders, purchase orders, and project expenses to maintain budget adherence
- Maintain accurate project records, including milestones, billings, SoV, and documentation within DivPro
- Assign commissioning work and oversee field personnel
- Review and approve weekly timecards for Controls Technicians
- Approve and manage the Bill of Materials (BoM) for each project
- Provide monthly project updates, including billing and financial reporting, to senior management
Skills
- 2+ years of experience in construction project management
- Strong understanding of building management systems (BMS), HVAC controls, and automation
- Technical expertise in electrical systems, commissioning, and risk management
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Strong organizational and project planning skills with attention to detail
- OSHA 30 certification obtained within the past two (2) years is required
- + If certification is not current or has not been completed, OSHA 30 training will be provided and must be successfully completed within the first week of employment
- Proficiency in project management software and documentation tools
