Job description

Summary

Draganfly Inc. is a technology leader in the commercial unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) space, providing drone products, services, engineering, integration, and health monitoring solutions. The Project Manager will lead customer-facing, technical, integration, special, and cross-functional projects from initiation through closeout, coordinating customers and internal teams to manage scope, schedules, risks, resources, and delivery. The role also oversees demonstrations, customer trainings, trade shows, and operational events.

Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned customer-facing, technical, integration, special, and cross-functional projects from initiation through delivery and closeout
  • Establish and maintain project objectives, scope, schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies, stakeholders, and acceptance criteria
  • Develop project plans aligned with the complexity, risk, and delivery requirements of each initiative
  • Maintain accountability for assigned projects while coordinating work across multiple functional teams
  • Monitor project progress, resource requirements, schedules, and deliverables to support successful execution
  • Identify and address project risks, constraints, schedule impacts, and resource requirements in collaboration with the appropriate stakeholders
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining clear priorities and consistent stakeholder communication
  • Support internal Engineering projects as portfolio capacity permits
  • Serve as the primary project-management point of contact for assigned customers, partners, and external stakeholders
  • Facilitate customer and technical meetings to define requirements, integration needs, delivery expectations, and acceptance criteria
  • Translate technical project progress into clear customer-facing updates while enabling Engineering personnel to remain focused on technical execution
  • Coordinate with Engineering and technical subject matter experts to obtain accurate information and resolve customer questions
  • Communicate project updates, changes, decisions, and milestones professionally and transparently
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinate project activities across Engineering, Operations, Field Operations, Sales/Business Development, Logistics, Procurement, and other functional teams
  • Establish clear ownership of project deliverables, actions, dependencies, and handoffs
  • Facilitate internal project meetings to review progress, priorities, risks, and upcoming milestones
  • Coordinate technical requirements between customers and internal teams while supporting efficient use of technical resources
  • Ensure appropriate stakeholders are engaged at each stage of the project lifecycle
  • Support the execution of special initiatives that span multiple organizational functions
  • Maintain project-level accountability for assigned demonstrations, customer trainings, trade shows, and operational events
  • Coordinate personnel, equipment, logistics, customer requirements, and readiness activities leading up to execution
  • Partner with Project Coordinators to ensure event intake, scheduling, calendar management, readiness tracking, logistics follow-up, and administrative requirements are completed
  • Monitor project readiness, customer requirements, schedule alignment, and operational planning
  • Support pre-event and customer planning activities as required

Skills

  • • Bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, engineering, operations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • • Demonstrated experience managing projects involving multiple stakeholders, functional teams, or workstreams
  • • Strong project-management fundamentals, including scope, schedule, risk, dependency, stakeholder, and issue management
  • • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • • Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally with customers and external stakeholders
  • • Ability to organize and manage multiple concurrent priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • • Strong judgment, ownership, follow-through, and problem-solving skills
  • • Ability to influence and coordinate personnel who do not directly report to the Project Manager
  • • Ability to understand technical discussions sufficiently to identify requirements, dependencies, risks, and follow-up actions
  • • Comfortable using project-management and collaboration software
  • • PMP certification or demonstrated progress toward PMP certification
  • • Experience working in aerospace, unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), robotics, engineering, or another technical environment
  • • Experience managing technical integration, product-development, or customer-delivery projects
  • • Experience working directly with engineers and technical subject matter experts
  • • Experience supporting government, military, public-safety, or enterprise customers
  • • Experience using ClickUp or a comparable project-management platform
  • • General technical aptitude across mechanical, electrical, software, communications, aviation, or related technology areas
