Summary
Duckie is a company focused on automating customer support workflows through AI technology. As an AI Agent Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical implementation of Duckie's AI agents within customer businesses, collaborating closely with client stakeholders to ensure successful deployment and integration.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end implementation of Duckie for new customers — from kickoff to a live, high-performing AI agent
- Configure, test, and tune AI agents to hit resolution targets, iterating on real ticket data
- Build and validate integrations with customer systems (Zendesk, Intercom, internal APIs, knowledge bases, and more)
- Partner directly with customer stakeholders (support leaders, ops, engineering) to define success criteria and drive toward them
- Act as the trusted technical advisor that expands accounts and keeps customers happy
Skills
- 3+ years of experience
- 2+ years in a technical, customer-facing role — forward deployed / solutions / implementation engineering, technical consulting, or similar
- Strong hands-on technical skills: comfortable writing code, working with REST APIs, and building/debugging integrations end-to-end
- Experience with LLMs / AI agents, or strong enthusiasm and aptitude to go deep fast
- Excellent communication — you can earn the trust of senior stakeholders and translate messy requirements into a clear plan
- Thrives in ambiguity and fast-moving environments; you self-direct and own outcomes without waiting for a spec
- Bias toward action and customer obsession
- Background at an early-stage startup
- Familiarity with prompt engineering, RAG, or agent evaluation
