Job description
Summary
eagle Controls is seeking a System Design Engineer to join their Controls team. The role involves designing and configuring automation systems, managing project materials, and ensuring system functionality while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Designing and configuring automation systems by selecting hardware, developing software, and creating necessary drawings and documentation
- Managing material procurement, tracking, and factory-mounting processes to align with project schedules
- Loading, commissioning, and validating system functionality while troubleshooting issues with subcontractors and other trades
- Documenting field changes, updating as-built drawings and software, and prepare system operation manuals
- Providing project updates to management and customers while ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Conducting site-specific training for owners/operators and complete required administrative paperwork
Skills
- At least three years of hands-on experience in installing and/or commissioning automation systems
- Proficiency in building automation system configuration software
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems
- Proven technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues
- Advanced computer skills, including expertise in computer-aided drafting tools
Qualifications

- At least three years of hands-on experience in installing and/or commissioning automation systems
- Proficiency in building automation system configuration software
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems
