Job description

Summary

Econ One Research is an international economic consulting firm that provides full-cycle litigation support through economic analysis and expert consulting. The Summer Analyst in the Healthcare Economics Practice Group will support healthcare litigation and public policy work by conducting research, performing statistical analyses, and preparing technical deliverables using data and statistical software.

Responsibilities

  • Importing, processing, and analyzing data using SAS, Stata, and Python
  • Drafting technical memos that explain the steps taken in cleaning and analyzing large, complex datasets
  • Identifying deficiencies in data productions and drafting data questionnaires
  • Reviewing and logging produced documents and depositions; extracting information necessary for our analysis and reports
  • Conducting research, including the identification of relevant peer-reviewed literature

Skills

  • **Qualifications:** * Rising Seniors majoring in an analytical field (e.g., Economics, Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, Data Science, or Computer Science) * GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • **Preferred Skills:** * Coursework in economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, data science, or other quantitative fields * Introductory knowledge of SAS, Stata, Python, or other statistical software * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to demonstrate proficiency with data presentation * Ability to work independently and as part of a team; dedicated to seeing projects through to the completion. * Time management skills and attention to detail
