Cloud Security Engineer

Summary

ECS is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to work in their Washington, DC office. The role focuses on operating and improving security controls for cloud and web-based assets while maintaining and hardening Linux server infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and monitor security measures across enterprise cloud platforms
• Analyze cloud services and APIs for risk
• Develop the detection and response procedures that keep those environments safe
• Ensure that server infrastructure is securely configured, actively monitored, and thoroughly documented

Skills

• Technically skilled and security-focused
• Hands-on engineering role, not an architecture or design position
• Experience operating and improving security controls that protect cloud and web-based assets
• Experience maintaining and hardening Linux server infrastructure
• Ability to plan, implement, and monitor security measures across enterprise cloud platforms
• Experience analyzing cloud services and APIs for risk
• Ability to develop detection and response procedures for cloud environments
• Deep system-level expertise in securely configuring server infrastructure
• Experience actively monitoring and thoroughly documenting server infrastructure
