Summary
EQT Corporation is an energy company offering a 12-week paid internship program with real-world experience and professional development. The Accounting Intern will support the Operations Accounting department by assisting with journal entries, reconciliations, financial analysis, invoice reviews, asset activity tracking, expense reviews, data validation, and accounting automation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Perform journal entries supporting month-end and ad hoc close activity
- Perform account reconciliations, validating balances and resolving variances
- Analyze financial results and identify trends ahead of reporting deadlines
- Review non-op JIB invoices for accuracy before payment
- Assist with recording and tracking land and lease activity
- Assist with LOE & O&M expense reviews against budget
- Assist with data validation and testing for accounting processes
- Gain exposure to AI and automation tools that streamline accounting tasks
Skills
- Open to all Accounting majors, undergraduate and graduate
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Accounting degree program
- Must have completed at least sophomore year at an accredited 4-year program prior to the internship start
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0
- Remote work is being considered for this role, excluding: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and Tennessee
- Experience with large data sets and BI tools preferred, not required
- Preference for candidates who reside in EQT's operating areas (Southwestern, PA, WV, OH)
