Job description

Summary

eStreet Security provides on-demand cybersecurity services and training focused on closing the cybersecurity skills gap. The Information Security Specialist will support cybersecurity operations by monitoring alerts, administering security tools, protecting sensitive data, supporting incident response, and maintaining compliance with defense and aerospace regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and investigate security alerts, escalating threats as necessary
  • Administer and support core security tools including endpoint protection, MFA, VPN, and email filtering
  • Support phishing investigations and contribute to user security awareness initiatives
  • Contribute to compliance and audit-readiness efforts for CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, DFARS, ITAR, and CUI protection
  • Maintain accurate, accessible documentation for security processes and compliance records
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, engineering, and operations to improve security posture
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and professional judgment

Skills

  • * Experience in cybersecurity, systems administration, network administration, IT support, or a related technical role
  • * Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles, common threats, security controls, and incident response concepts
  • * Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Windows environments, endpoint protection, and enterprise IT operations
  • * Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
  • * Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document work clearly and collaborate across teams
  • * Interest in developing expertise in security operations and compliance within a regulated defense or aerospace environment
  • * Associate's or bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • * Security tools and user access administration
  • * Endpoint protection and log review
  • * Vulnerability remediation concepts
  • * Defense and aerospace cybersecurity requirements, including CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, DFARS, ITAR, and CUI handling
  • * Exposure to compliance frameworks such as CMMC and NIST SP 800-171
  • * Experience in manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, defense, or other regulated environments
  • * Relevant certifications including CompTIA Security+, ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC), or Microsoft Security Operations Analyst Associate (SC-200)
