Data Technician

Summary

Facility Solutions Group is a telecommunications company seeking a Data Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for pulling, testing, and terminating cabling on commercial construction sites, as well as installing various A/V and security devices.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for pulling, testing, and terminating CAT5e/6a and/or Fiber Optic cabling on an active construction site
• Install various kinds of devices such as speakers, projectors, displays, WAPs, card readers, access control devices (strikes, locks, or crash bars), transmitters, receivers, and DAS equipment
• Attend mandatory safety meetings, as well as maintain strict adherence to company and client safety standards
• Accurately label cabling consistent with PM or foreman instruction
• Assist other team members whenever necessary to efficiently complete the installation
• Adhere to company policies and established procedures

Skills

• 6-months experience as a commercial low-voltage technician
• Possess a High School Diploma or GED
• Have their own reliable transportation to and from the jobsite
• Pass a background check and drug test
• Be able to work dayshifts, nights, or weekends, if needed
