FANUC America Corporation is currently searching for an Associate Engineer – Software & Controls to provide engineering support services including, but not limited to, robot programming, FANUC advanced options, FANUC iRVISION, simulation, and cell automation consulting/support to external customers and system integrators. Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Provide customer-purchased engineering services such as setting up vision or other options.
  • Provide ROBOGUIDE simulations.
  • Conduct cell throughput cycle time analysis.
  • Support field installation, startup, and debug of systems.
  • Review and support validation of concepts provided by customers and integrators.
  • Support sales and quoting efforts as required.
  • Perform intricate repairs on mechanical and electrical hardware.
  • Hold customer training sessions as needed.

Ideal candidate will have the following experience/skills and education:

  • Associate’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum one year of relevant experience in systems engineering, design, assembly, and/or material handling; preferably related to robotic automation systems.
  • Wiring and/or troubleshooting experience.
  • Knowledge of FANUC robot programming.
  • Experience with FANUC robots, FANUC iRVISION, and/or 3D Vision is preferred.
  • Ability to present comprehensive technical evaluations and recommendations to customers and peers.
  • Customer-focused with communication and problem-solving skills.
