Summary

The Project Manager II coordinates complex projects, manages resources, timelines, budgets, reporting, and stakeholder communication, while also resolving issues, mentoring project managers, and improving PMO processes.
Responsibilities
- Project Management - Manages projects affecting a majority (if not all) facilities that work to address complex issues or challenges. Communicates with project stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of project scope, timeline, and budget
- Project Administration - Using project management methodologies and processes to support successful project implementation. Provides assistance in using these tools on key projects
- Project Resource Management - Works with managers to ensure project resources are assigned to project work for project duration and at the correct allocation
- Project Time Management - Creates and maintains a project timeline and communicates any changes. Motivates team members and takes responsibility for keeping everyone on track. Helps team members set targets for milestones and consistently monitors progress
- Project Reporting and Status - Provides comprehensive and clear project statuses to stakeholders and leaders
- Project Issues and Conflict - Takes the lead to resolve project issues and discrepancies arising from within various departments and works swiftly and proactively to escalate to leadership in support of resolution, if needed
- Project Budget Management - Gathers all relevant data and manages the project budget. Reports on project budget versus actuals
- Mentorship - Provides coaching and mentoring to new Project Managers on managing projects, the usage of PM tools and methodologies, best practices, project implementation, and meeting APM standards
- Optimization - Acts as thought leader in building a high performing team. Reviews PMO processes and offers recommendations for improvement
- Training & Education - Identifies opportunities to cross train others within your area of expertise
