Franklin College has a full-time opening in the Office of Enrollment for an International Business and Recruitment Coordinator. This position promotes Franklin College to international agencies, schools, and businesses and leads the college’s efforts in the recruitment of prospective international students, including the management of the College’s international business component.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute and assist in the development of an international recruitment strategy in partnership with the Vice President of Enrollment, Directors of Admissions and Financial Aid and admission counseling team;
- Engage alumni and current international students in the recruitment and retention of prospective international students;
- Meet with agencies from around the globe and maintain up-to-date recruitment agreements with goals with each of those agencies,
- Provide recruitment training to agencies,
- Conduct virtual college fairs with students and families through agency-partners and other international constituent groups;
- Identify and build key partnerships with community-based organizations and other entities which support international students or cultures related to the College’s international students;
- Develop and monitor statistical reports to enhance recruitment strategies, yield management, and operational efficiency;
- Meet enrollment goals for assigned recruitment populations;
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with key secondary school constituents;
- Investigate partnerships with International American schools across the globe;
- Visit and recruit U.S. boarding school administrators as advocates for sending international students to the College;
- Travel domestically and internationally on behalf of the college for recruitment and other college related events;
- Review applications from assigned recruitment territories;
- Monitor and track all issuances of I-20s, visa appointments, and visa approvals for prospective students;
- Plan and coordinate arrivals and support of international students across working groups and offices which include, but are not limited to, those in Student Development;
- Perform other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
General supervision is received from the Director of Admissions and Vice President of Enrollment and Marketing
REQUIREMENTS:
- A bachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred
- Experience with international travel is a plus
- Strong consideration given to candidates with the ability to converse in Spanish. Proficiency in other foreign languages may also be a plus
- Ability to effectively communicate in person and in writing, and give engaging presentations to small and large groups
- Should possess high energy, attention to detail, and the ability to organize effectively
- Should be driven to accomplish goals
