Summary

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Software Engineer to support the enhancement, sustainment, and modernization of ground-based satellite geolocation systems. The ideal candidate will contribute to the full engineering lifecycle, delivering innovative software-based capabilities that advance critical mission operations.

Responsibilities

• Support the enhancement, sustainment, and modernization of ground-based satellite geolocation systems
• Contribute to the full engineering lifecycle—from requirements development through deployment
• Delivering innovative software-based capabilities that advance critical mission operations
• Developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex and diverse software systems
• Contribute to cutting edge development programs and designing new solutions
• Innovating RF signal processing applications and developing analytics, visualization and discovery tools
• Integrate new and legacy software across a variety of hardware form factors
• Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results and resolve software problem reports
• Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components

Skills

• Experience with Software-Defined Radio (SDR) programming
• Experience with geospatial processing
• Experience coding 2D and 3D image displays
• Experience with GitLab, GitHub, or similar version control tools
• Experience with Jira/Confluence or similar project management tools
• 9 Years of experience in Software or Systems Engineering/Administration or roles or a highly related field of work with similar scope and responsibilities
• A Bachelor's degree may be substituted for 4 years of experience and a Master's Degree may be substituted for 6 years of experience
• Active Security Clearance
• Proficiency working in Linux development environments
• Proficiency coding in Python, C++, Java, or JavaScript
