Summary
Freezing Point is the fastest growing frozen beverage company in the US and the maker of Frazil. As the Operations Intern, you will play a crucial role within the Warehouse Operations Department, contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of the company’s logistics and operational processes.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality checks on orders and shipments to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with company standards before products leave the warehouse
- Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts, receiving, and shipping operations
- Assist in the creation of BOLs for domestic and international shipping
- Support the Pick & Pack Manager process by overseeing order fulfillment, ensuring all orders are accurately printed, processed, and closed in SAP
- Audit and improve warehouse organization and layout to increase efficiency
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of various areas in the department and identify areas for improvement
- Promote on time delivery to our customers by addressing efficiency, productivity process constraints and bottlenecks and providing process improvements to the current process
- Possess a continuous improvement mindset and implement lean practices in all aspects of work
- Communicate concerns with inventory levels, systems, issues etc
- Occasionally assist in picking activities as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- Enrolled in a 4-yr educational institution pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related business field
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Excellent computer skills – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Driver's license
- Exceptional communication and follow-up skills
- Strong team player with a collaborative work style
- Passion for details and ability to handle task-based work while maintaining accuracy
- Ability to manage time effectively and ask for help when needed
- Data driven with an eye for efficiency and value-added efforts
- Lean Six Sigma certification
- Spanish – written, spoken
- Basic knowledge of trucking/transportation industry
- SAP B1 experience
