Boarding Paralegal

Summary

Friedman Vartolo LLP is a fast-growing law firm specializing in real estate and default services. The Boarding Paralegal will manage the initial stages of foreclosure cases, including creating files, reviewing documents, entering case data, processing status changes, and handling incoming mail.

Responsibilities

• Create and establish new case files and ensure proper organization and categorization of all associated documents
• Review loan documents received to verify completeness and determine if additional documents are required
• Input client and case information in the firm's case management system, while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
• Process and update file status changes, ensuring accurate record-keeping
• Categorize and process incoming mail related to foreclosure and bankruptcy cases

Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in default services
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Capability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Relevant experience in the industry will be considered in lieu of a degree
• Experience in both foreclosure and bankruptcy preferred
• Proficiency in CaseAware
• Familiarity with BKFS/Tempo is highly desirable
