Summary
Function Health is building a comprehensive health platform focused on improving healthcare experiences. The Co-Op Student Software Engineer will help develop AI-powered healthcare systems for clinical reasoning, conversational guidance, and member adherence automation within the Navigating Care team.
Responsibilities
- Work on the system that interprets member biology to provide clinically grounded planning and actions. Turn lab results, biomarkers, and health data into personalized, doctor-quality recommendations
- Help build our AI doctor, a conversational experience that can reason about a member's health, answer questions, and guide them through next steps with the depth and care of a real physician
- Build systems that help members follow through on their health guidance. Design intelligent nudges, reminders, and follow-ups that adapt to each member's needs and progress

- Interest in LLMs, agentic systems, and applied AI
- Comfortable working with APIs, data pipelines, and cloud environments (GCP experience is a plus, not a requirement)
