Summary

The Clinical Research Coordinator will support clinical research nurses, patients, and clinical trials while coordinating DXA services, laboratory activities, administrative tasks, and off-site visit support.
Responsibilities
- Assist nurses with clinical research and standard of care tasks
- Take vital signs, perform ECGs, and phlebotomy
- Pick up and deliver drugs from Research and Main Pharmacy
- Transport subjects
- Coordinate DXA patient care: perform, analyze and report results for research and standard of care scans
- Independent review of medical record for health and bone history
- Track scans, provide census data for billing and maintain SOPs
- Maintain quality control of DXA unit
- Assist with administrative tasks
- Maintain inventory and order supplies
- Chart set-up and copying
- Fulfill receptionist duties as needed
- Provide clinical and laboratory support including off-site visits
- Process, store and ship laboratory specimens
- Maintain IATA Certification
Skills
- BLS certification required
- International Society for Clinical Densitometry certification expected to be obtained within the first year of employment if does not have at date of hire
- The preferred academic level required to perform this work is college graduate (Bachelors in Science or equivalent) with prior experience performing clinical assistant, phlebotomy, and clinical research assistant functions
- IV insertion skills, DXA and Bilingual experience a plus
