Platform Engineer

Summary

GigXR is a leading provider of immersive learning solutions, specializing in transforming healthcare and educational training through cutting-edge augmented reality and mixed reality applications. They are seeking a talented Platform Engineer to contribute to the development of the platform that supports their suite of healthcare and educational training applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain platform solutions using .NET and related technologies
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs, ensuring robust integration with various internal and third-party systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver full-stack solutions, including front-end, back-end, and database components
• Ensure data integrity and performance optimization across multiple databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, NoSQL)
• Implement best practices for cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and non-production environments
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to improve code quality
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team

Skills

• 3+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET 5/6/7)
• Strong knowledge of API design, development, and integration (RESTful services, GraphQL is a plus)
• Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, or Vue.js) and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
• Proficiency with relational and non-relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
• Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and source control (e.g., Git)
• Solid understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented design, design patterns, and best practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward learning new technologies
• Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth, JWT)
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Ansible)
• Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment
