Summary
Gridiron IT is seeking a creative, dedicated individual to join our team as a Web Content Developer to work on-site for a government client/customer. The role involves building and maintaining web pages, integrating multimedia elements, and ensuring websites function properly across different devices and browsers while adhering to SEO best practices.
Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining web pages, often involving coding (HTML, CSS & JavaScript)
- Pitching ideas related to content goals and strategies to the Marketing and Communications Directors
- Integrating multimedia elements (videos, images) into web content
- Collaborating with other departments and team members to brainstorm enhancements to the site(s)
- Optimizing content for SEO and user experience
- Managing updates and organization within a CMS
- Editing and proofreading new content before publication
- Managing the distribution of content through various channels, including social media
- Analyzing performance indicators and web traffic and determining the effectiveness of created content and site features
Skills
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Mass Communication, or a related field
- Experience in copywriting, graphic design, programming, or a related field may be advantageous
- Have experience with SharePoint
- Strong working knowledge of Content Management Systems and web software, such as AFPIMS, WordPress, or the Adobe Creative Suite
- Good working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SEO
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- An Active TS/SCI clearance with a Poly
