Summary

Health Care Service Corporation is a purpose-driven healthcare organization that supports employee development and rewarding careers. The Associate Network Management Consultant supports provider recruitment and contracting, negotiates small to mid-size physician and physician group contracts, develops provider relationships, and assists with complex hospital and physician contracting activities.

Responsibilities

  • This position is responsible for providing support to the provider recruitment and contracting process to ensure strategic coverage of providers for assigned territory
  • Develop knowledge of products, contracting language and negotiations skills
  • Responsibilities include small to mid-size contract negotiations for physicians and physician groups
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with providers
  • This role will also provide support for complex hospital and physician contracting activities
  • Meet deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Ability and willingness to travel within assigned territory, including overnight stays

Skills

  • Bachelor Degree OR 4 years managed care operations experience handling independent work
  • Meet deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Verbal and written communication skills, organizational and planning skills
  • PC proficiency to include Microsoft Office
  • Analytical skills
  • Sponsorship will not be provided for this role
  • Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare management
  • Advance experience in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Co-pilot
  • Experience with spreadsheets, claims data, and market trends
