Summary
Health-E Commerce is seeking a full-stack UX Designer to shape customer experiences across its digital health and ecommerce platforms. The role owns the end-to-end design process, including research, UX design, design systems, and UI, while collaborating with product, engineering, and cross-functional teams to deliver iterative improvements.
Responsibilities
- Own the design process from research and discovery through wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity UI
- Design and optimize experiences for ecommerce customers and internal users across CMS, MarTech, and operational platforms. Build intuitive, consistent, scalable interfaces that support seamless workflows and a cohesive brand
- Plan and run user research, including interviews and usability testing. Turn customer pain points and behaviors into insights and design decisions
- Contribute components, patterns, and tokens that scale cleanly between design and development
- Partner with stakeholders to validate designs through structured UAT, keeping work aligned with customer needs and business goals
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional partners. Communicate design decisions clearly and advocate for the customer without slowing the team down
- Maintain brand integrity across digital platforms while pushing thoughtful improvements to the visual identity
- Plug into Agile/Scrum workflows, prioritize ruthlessly, and ship iterative improvements sprint over sprint
Skills
- Minimum 3+ years in UX/UI design with a strong portfolio and case studies that show end-to-end work
- Ecommerce experience is a must
- Sound judgment on when to aim for perfect versus good enough to ship and learn
- Solid grasp of UX principles, journey mapping, conversion optimization, and responsive design
- Strong command of Figma, including components, variants, auto layout, and tokens
- Experience building or contributing to a design system in production
- Hands-on experience designing within CMS platforms (Contentful, Builder.io, WordPress, Fastr, or similar) and MarTech systems
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices
- Familiarity with A/B testing tools and data-informed design decisions
- Experience with project management tools like Jira or Monday
- Scrappy mindset. Thrives in a high-demand environment with shifting priorities and frequent context switching
- Strong problem-solving with a consistent focus on the customer
- Clear communicator who can present to technical and non-technical audiences and defend decisions without getting defensive
- Works independently and collaborates well inside a tight cross-functional team
- Manages multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with frequent pivots
- Must be able to work EST hours
- Digital health or telehealth experience
- Hands-on experience with CSS, Sass, and CSS variables
- Familiarity with design tokenization for clean design-to-development handoff
- Experience with Storybook or similar component documentation tooling
