Account Manager, Commercial Lines (Mavrix)

Summary

Heffernan Insurance Brokers is seeking an Account Manager for their Commercial Lines department. The role involves managing a portfolio of small commercial accounts, providing exceptional client service, and ensuring all insurance needs are met efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the day-to-day contact for small commercial clients, providing timely and professional service support
• Manage policy renewals, coverage changes, certificates, billing questions, and other service needs
• Process endorsements, audits, cancellations, and reinstatements accurately and promptly
• Coordinate with Mavrix Insurance Advisors and carriers to resolve service issues and ensure client satisfaction
• Prepare summaries and present recommendations in collaboration with Mavrix Insurance Advisors
• Submit applications and supplementals to carriers for quoting as needed
• Identify opportunities for coverage improvements or upselling appropriate to client needs
• Maintain accurate, complete client files in the agency management system (EPIC)
• Ensure all documentation and servicing activity complies with agency standards and E&O best practices
• Support transition to Applied digital tools and/or other client service platforms with a focus on consistency and efficiency

Skills

• High School graduate/GED required
• 3+ years of experience in commercial lines account management
• Active P&C license required
• Strong knowledge of small commercial lines, including GL, WC, BOP, Auto, and Umbrella
• Proficient in MS Office, namely Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
• Organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Familiarity with agency management systems (preferably EPIC)
