Summary
Helm Group is hiring a Marketing & Communications Coordinator to support the company’s corporate marketing function. The role works with the CMO on writing, content creation, communications, events, vendor coordination, marketing operations, campaign measurement, and brand initiatives while working remotely in the Chicagoland area.
Responsibilities
- Own the writing across Helm’s owned channels: website, social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram), newsroom, and corporate brand templates
- Draft project profiles, case studies, award submissions, and internal communications
- Capture jobsite and event photography for quick turn use (the CMO handles larger productions shoots)
- Prepare submissions for industry awards and recognition programs
- Oversee the marketing calendars and coordinate cross-channel deadlines
- Maintain and organize Helm's photo, video, template, and asset libraries so anyone on the Helm Team can find what they need
- Support industry and recruitment events as needed
- Manage outside vendors (designers, printers, etc.) from initial scope through delivery
- Submit ads to publishers and coordinate placement deadlines, specs, and approvals
- Process marketing invoices, reconcile against POs, and track spend against budget
- Help evolve our marketing processes as the function grows; you'll spot what's inefficient and propose alternative solutions
- Coordinate with outside design partners, and produce simple, in-house design work as requested
- Channel reporting and campaign performance monitoring and measurement
- Support CMO on brand initiatives and special projects as they arise
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years marketing or communications experience in a corporate, private-business, or agency setting

- Natural problem-solver who improves the process while working on it
- Curious about the business you're marketing; you want to understand how it works not just describe it
