Job description

Summary

ImpactAssets is a leading impact investing firm that helps individuals, families, and philanthropists direct capital toward social and environmental progress. The Associate, Investment Administration supports investment operations for private debt and equity investments by managing reporting, investment activity, reconciliations, client deliverables, and new investment processing. The role also contributes to process improvement, documentation, and communication with internal stakeholders and external fund contacts.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize and manage monthly/quarterly/annual Fund reporting
  • Identify and record daily investment activity including NAV updates
  • Use attention to detail and logic to ensure transactional data quality
  • Reconcile and maintain data integrity in legacy and new investment management system
  • Assist with preparation of client reporting deliverables through timely data processing and periodic reconciliation
  • Support new investment processing with investee coordination and document preparation
  • Use judgement to escalate issues and requests appropriately
  • Proactively propose and document process improvement opportunities and become part of the solution
  • Document processes and best practices for use by the Investment Operations Team
  • Provide an elevated level of customer service to internal stakeholders
  • Communicate effectively within team, cross-functionally, and externally with fund contacts
  • Perform additional responsibilities aligned with the scope of the role

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or related field; minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, finance or investment operations/servicing; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong Excel skills and ability to interface with various technology systems
  • Energetic and organized individual: highly attuned organizational skills, attention to detail, professional demeanor, ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands
  • Resourceful in searching for responses to questions and developing solutions
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams required
  • Adopts new technology and AI tools to improve accuracy and efficiency, with a willingness to learn as tools and systems evolve
  • Experience working with private investment data
  • Knowledge of, and passion for, impact investing and the variety of investment structures used; including, understanding of investments and financial services, impact investing, donor advised funds, and custodial relationships preferred
  • Proficiency with cloud-based collaboration tools Box and Asana preferred
  • Experience working with Addepar
  • Experience working with Freshdesk
  • Experience working in a virtual working environment
