Summary

The role focuses on preparing and prosecuting domestic and foreign patents involving mechanical robotics and related technologies, while also supporting patentability, infringement, freedom-to-operate, portfolio management, due diligence, litigation, and Patent Trial and Appeal Board matters.
Responsibilities
- The focus of the work will primarily relate to the preparation and prosecution of patents for domestic and foreign clients while also supporting practice needs in other related areas (e.g., patentability, infringement, and freedom to operate opinions; portfolio strategy and management; due diligence; litigation support; Patent Trial and Appeal Board issues)
Skills
- Minimum BS Mechanical engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or related
- Must have at least 2 years of full-time claim drafting and prosecutions experience
- Demonstrated for producing high-quality patents relating to complex related technologies
- Solid communication interpersonal skills for client interaction
- State bar and USPTO bar
- USPTO bar
- Must have strong expertise specifically relating to kinematics, robotics, and related electro-mechanical engineering, and control systems technologies
- Strong technical writing skills
- Willingness to pass USPTO bar with a full commitment to becoming a licensed Patent Agent
