Summary
ISCC – International Sustainability and Carbon Certification is a leading certification system focused on sustainability, traceability, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The Data Analyst will transform certification-related data into meaningful insights, support data-driven decision-making, and collaborate with subject matter experts and data engineers to improve data quality and usability.
Responsibilities
- Extracting, cleaning, transforming and analysing certification-related data to support colleagues in data-driven decision-making
- Identifying trends, patterns, inconsistencies and data quality issues and translating findings into actionable insights
- Facilitating and participating in data quality initiatives in close coordination with subject matter experts and data engineers
- Supporting data-related projects from requirements gathering and analysis through to implementation and evaluation
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to understand business and data requirements and develop appropriate analytical solutions
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of data processes, structures and workflows
- Supporting the development and implementation of measures to improve data accuracy, consistency and completeness
- Providing first-level support for data-related questions and assisting colleagues in the use and interpretation of data
- Contributing to the further development of data-driven approaches and digitalisation within ISCC
- Communicating analytical results and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Skills
- **University degree** in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, business, economics, sustainability, environmental science, or another relevant field
- **At least 2 years of professional experience** as a Data Analyst or in a comparable data-related role
- Demonstrated experience working with relational databases and extracting data using SQL
- Proficiency in cleaning and analysing data in Excel
- Excellent data analysis, data cleaning and problem-solving skills
- Experience coordinating or contributing to data quality and data analysis projects
- **Excellent English skills (at least C1-level, written and spoken)** and **very good German (at least B2 level) skills**
- Strong communication, project management and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex data-related topics into practical solutions
- Good understanding of sustainable supply chains and an interest in sustainability-related topics
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and a structured, solution-oriented approach
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues from different teams and areas of expertise
- Interest in data-driven process improvements, digitalisation and technology
- Experience with one or more scripting languages and with FileMaker is an advantage
