Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc. is a national brand committed to providing a better tax experience. They are seeking a Tax QA Analyst 1 to develop and execute test plans, validate software functionality, and collaborate with teams to resolve issues in tax software.
Responsibilities
- Strengthen your business analyst skills as you develop test data and create tax returns to verify and validate software functionality, content, and calculations
- Exercise your tax analyst skills as you develop and execute test plans, scripts, and cases based on new software requirements/designs or existing software functionality
- Apply your software testing skills as you identify, record, and report software deficiencies and retest corrections according to change management procedures
- Increase your tax research and problem-solving skills as you work closely with your team and internal customers to research and resolve any issues with our tax software
- Utilize your collaboration skills as you work with your team and business partners to share knowledge and perform test reviews
- Demonstrate your organization and prioritization skills as you provide a daily status and plan for testing activities within your team
- Participate in continuous learning and process reviews as you contribute to the decisions and maintenance activities of testing assets
- Learn and utilize various software validation tools and methods as you perform manual and automated tests

- Proficiency with Microsoft Operating Systems, Office applications, Chrome
- Requires strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills to work effectively in a team environment
- Contribute in a continuous learning organization
- Ability to work in a fast-pace agile environment, adapting to changing technology and testing policy/procedures as needed
- PTIN Certification: Yes
- Individual Tax Preparation or equivalent accounting related hands-on work experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Computer, or Business-related degree preferred
