Summary
Jacobs delivers engineering and consulting solutions for critical infrastructure, industrial, commercial, and technological projects. The Pipe Stress Engineer will support challenging engineering projects by performing pipe stress analysis and support design, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining schedule and technical quality.
Responsibilities
- You'll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule
- Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will develop and design a variety of equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial and industrial projects
Skills
- • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- • At least 2 years of engineering experience
- • Knowledge of pipe stress analysis and support design
- • Familiarity with piping codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API)
- • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- • Experience with pipe stress analysis software such as AutoPIPE and Caesar II
- • Experience with design tools such as Navisworks and AutoCAD
- • Engineer in Training(EIT)
- • Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
- • Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
- • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
