Summary
JerseySTEM is a mission-driven professional network focused on improving access to STEM education and career pathways for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey. The Internship Program Coordinator supports the management of the organization’s intern pool by coordinating onboarding, monitoring compliance and engagement, maintaining records, and processing exit documentation in collaboration with HR.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process intern exit documentation in a timely and organized manner
- Monitor intern attendance, engagement, and compliance with work requirements
- Communicate with interns and supervisors to address concerns or issues promptly
- Assist with scheduling, tracking tasks, and maintaining intern records
- Collaborate with HR leadership to improve processes and documentation standards
Skills
- Available for a team meeting on Mondays from 4:30pm-5:30pm
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- 6 hours weekly
- 6 months minimum
- Comfortable using spreadsheets, HR tools, and online collaboration platforms is a plus

Benefits
- Approximately six flexible hours per week
- A $100 refundable deposit, returned after six months of active membership; K–12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt from the deposit.
