Job description

Summary

JSI is a mission-driven organization focused on broadband and telecommunications initiatives that expand connectivity and digital inclusion. The GIS Developer will configure and customize the Intelli-Fiber platform using ArcGIS technologies, develop and support geospatial applications and systems, and contribute to spatial data management, project delivery, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, implement, customize, integrate, and maintain geospatial applications, Intelli-Fiber platform functionality, and related systems
  • Leverage ArcGIS and other GIS technologies to generate, maintain, update, and enhance spatial data, mapping systems, and project databases
  • Support DevOps, change management, and service management processes, including code deployment, issue resolution, and user support
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure the reliability, security, and performance of supported applications and systems
  • Collaborate with project teams to evaluate requirements, develop solutions, lead projects as needed, and ensure successful delivery of business objectives
  • Stay current on emerging GIS and mapping technologies while promoting continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and user training

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a related field
  • Experience with software development methodologies and application lifecycle management
  • Understanding of large-scale system integration concepts and technical architectures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
  • Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a team-oriented environment

Qualifications

Must Haves
