AR Specialist II (Remote)

Summary

The AR Specialist II independently manages insurance and patient follow-up for physician billing, including denial resolution, payment reconciliation, financial documentation, and payer-related issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance denials and rejections and process appeals as needed
• Troubleshoot account issues, including demographic discrepancies and authorization concerns
• Process and reconcile refund requests and banking deposits
• Review and interpret EOBs for proper payment posting
• Collaborate with accounting and management to resolve issues
• Maintain documentation and perform claim resubmissions

Skills

• Advanced knowledge of insurance denial management
• Ability to trend and report recurring issues
• Skilled in EMR navigation and HIPAA compliance
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• None required
• Minimum of 3 years of physician billing experience
• Experience with Rural Health Clinic or Provider-Based Billing preferred but not required
