SCOPE:
Lakeshore Management is seeking an AI Transformation Intern reporting to the AI Transformation Director to help develop practical AI products, automations, and internal tools that improve how work is performed across the firm.
The intern will work directly with the Director of AI Automation and use OpenAI Codex to support software development, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting. The position will also assist with managing departmental tickets, researching technologies, documenting business processes, and supporting the rollout of AI solutions across the organization.
This internship provides hands-on exposure to AI product development, full-stack application development, cloud development, system architecture, Microsoft Azure, APIs, access controls, GitHub, and automated deployment workflows.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
AI and Full Stack Product Development
• Work with OpenAI Codex to develop internal AI applications, dashboards, automations, reports, and prototypes.
• Assist with front-end and back-end development for internal business applications.
• Help translate business requirements into technical tasks, application features, and development tickets.
• Assist with writing, reviewing, testing, and troubleshooting code.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards.
• Test new products and document bugs, results, and recommended improvements.
Cloud Development and System Architecture
• Gain experience developing and deploying applications in Microsoft Azure.
• Assist with setting up and configuring approved Azure cloud resources and development environments.
• Learn how the user interface, server, database, APIs, authentication, and cloud services work together.
• Support the creation and maintenance of development, testing, and production environments.
• Help document system architecture, application dependencies, data flows, and deployment processes.
• Assist with monitoring application performance, availability, and technical issues.
• Follow established security, data privacy, and change-management requirements.
APIs Credentials and Access Control
• Learn how API requests, responses, authentication, and error handling work.
• Gain experience securely managing API keys, secrets, connection strings, and other application credentials.
• Help document access requirements, permissions, and security configurations.
GitHub and Automated Deployment
• Use GitHub to maintain source code, documentation, issues, and version history.
• Create and manage branches, commits, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Help organize repositories and maintain clear development documentation.
• Gain experience with GitHub Actions for automated testing, code-quality checks, application builds, and deployments.
• Assist with troubleshooting failed workflows and documenting resolutions.
• Follow established source-control, approval, and deployment procedures.
Ticket and Project Management
• Review, organize, prioritize, and update AI Transformation support and development tickets.
• Gather additional information from employees when requests are incomplete.
• Convert business requests into clear tasks, acceptance criteria, and next steps.
• Track ticket status, assigned actions, deadlines, dependencies, and resolutions.
• Maintain project boards, backlogs, task lists, and departmental documentation.
• Provide regular progress updates and identify items requiring escalation.
• Help document recurring issues and create reusable solutions or knowledge-base articles.
Process Improvement and Automation
• Meet with employees to understand how current business processes are completed.
• Document workflows, repetitive tasks, manual data entry, and reporting challenges.
• Help identify opportunities where AI or automation could save time, reduce errors, or improve access to information.
• Assist with creating business requirements, process maps, standard operating procedures, and user guides.
• Help evaluate opportunities based on business value, cost, risk, complexity, and implementation effort.
• Support the measurement of completed solutions through adoption, time savings, accuracy, and other performance indicators.
Testing Training and Adoption
• Participate in functional testing, security testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Verify that applications meet documented business and technical requirements.
• Create clear instructions, training materials, demonstrations, and frequently asked questions.
• Help employees understand how to use approved AI tools responsibly.
• Gather user feedback and recommend product improvements.
• Support AI workshops, product demonstrations, and departmental training sessions.
Research and Departmental Support
• Research emerging AI tools, development platforms, automation technologies, and industry practices.
• Compare potential solutions based on business value, cost, security, usability, and implementation effort.
• Prepare concise summaries, technical documentation, and presentations for department leaders.
• Organize project files, meeting notes, development documentation, and performance metrics.
• Perform other responsibilities that support the AI Transformation department.

COMPENSATION: $17.00 - $20.00/Hour (Not Benefits Eligible)
