Associate Attorney, Montgomery County, TN

Summary

Law Offices of Robert S. Gitmeid & Assoc. PLLC is a consumer protection law firm providing representation to consumers who have been harassed or deceived by creditors and debt collectors. They are seeking a full-time Associate Attorney in Tennessee to manage a varied caseload, communicate with clients and opposing parties, draft legal documents, conduct legal research, and handle consumer protection matters including transactional and civil litigation work.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and supervising a heavy & diversified caseload of the Firm’s clients in Tennessee
• Communicating with clients regarding their respective matters
• Drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, reviewing & drafting agreements, etc
• Communicating with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims
• Legal research related to simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law
• While this role is based from home, you will be required to travel for in court appearances

Skills

• * Must be currently admitted to practice law in **Tennessee**
• * Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm
• * Must possess superior organizational & time-management skills to meet strict deadlines
• * Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• * Highest ethical standards and professional integrity
• * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work easily with senior management and employees at all levels throughout the organization
• * Strong legal research skills -- proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus
