Full Stack Developer - Remote

Summary

Lazer Logistics is seeking a Full Stack Developer to support and extend its existing web applications. The role focuses on maintaining ColdFusion applications, building JavaScript and HTML/CSS functionality, modernizing legacy systems, resolving production issues, and applying AI-assisted development tools while maintaining code quality and security.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain web applications and features using JavaScript and HTML/CSS as Lazer's primary development stack
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions in partnership with the Director of Platforms and Services and cross-functional stakeholders
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and support Lazer's existing ColdFusion (CFML) applications to ensure reliability for dependent business processes
• Acquire working proficiency in ColdFusion syntax, patterns, and application architecture to competently support and extend the legacy codebase
• Execute the gradual modernization of legacy ColdFusion functionality toward current web technologies, including scoping and de-risking migration work
• Diagnose and resolve production issues across both legacy and modern applications within established response expectations
• Produce clean, well-documented, and testable code and participate in peer code reviews with the development team
• Apply AI-assisted development tools, including GitHub Copilot, Claude, and ChatGPT, to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, and documentation while maintaining code quality and security standards
• Maintain current knowledge of JavaScript ecosystem tools, frameworks, and AI-assisted development practices, and share relevant findings with the team
• Promote a business partner and ownership mindset to the team to prioritize customer service excellence, adaptability and resilience to change and continuous improvement
• Other tasks as assigned
