Summary
Leidos is an industry and technology leader serving government and commercial customers with smarter, more efficient digital and mission innovations. They are seeking a talented, entry-level software developer to work on modeling & simulation efforts within the Threat Modeling and Simulation Portfolio, focusing on AI/ML applications.
Responsibilities
- Candidate can expect to design, develop, and maintain software applications with AI/ML capabilities; build scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and analyze large datasets; collaborate with a team of engineers and scientists to integrate machine learning models into EO/IR sensor simulations; optimize performance, reliability, and scalability for data-intensive workloads
- Candidate is also expected to have the ability to work and to communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and have familiarity with software development for both Windows and Linux OS
Skills
- Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree from an accredited university in software engineering, computer science, or an equivalent engineering or science degree with relevant software development experience
- Strong, demonstrated experience in object-oriented programming principles
- Proficiency in one or more of the following: Python, C++, C#
- Understanding of software design principles and version control (Git)
- Experience processing and analyzing large datasets
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- 0+ years of experience in a related field
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
- Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville – North Alabama, AL, area
- Highly organized, demonstrating the ability to work independently at times due to a fast-paced and highly productive work environment
- Interest in working multiple programs with proficiency in C++, C# and Python along with the ability to create design documentation, requirements specifications, and other technical documentation
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn; proficiency in data visualization libraries such as matplotlib, plotly, etc. for data analysis and reporting; ability to translate complex datasets into meaningful insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders; experience deploying, integrating, and maintaining machine learning models within production software applications
- Preference may be given to candidates with one or more of the following: recent stellar academic performance, a Secret clearance or above; a TS/SCI clearance (with CI Polygraph)
