Summary

The IT Support Technician Intern provides hands-on technical support to employees, gaining practical experience in enterprise IT support and customer service while assisting with troubleshooting and managing IT tickets.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-person technical support to employees
- Assist with Tech Bar walk-up support
- Support PC imaging, setup, and deployment
- Troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues
- Assist with M365, VPN, and MFA support requests
- Help manage tickets and update records in ServiceNow
- Maintain accurate asset tracking information
- Escalate complex issues to senior technicians when needed
Skills
- Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field
- US citizenship required
- Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Interest in learning enterprise IT support processes
- Ability to work onsite in Gaithersburg, MD
- Experience building or troubleshooting PCs
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (VPN, MFA)
- Exposure to or coursework in Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, or emerging technologies
- Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., generative AI platforms, automation tools, scripting assistants)
- Previous help desk, retail tech, or customer service experience
- CompTIA A+ coursework or certification (in progress is acceptable)
