They are seeking a Jr. Software Developer to work on naval simulation, training, and analysis for the US Navy, developing real-time software on Linux using C++ and Java. The role involves engaging in meaningful projects that have a direct impact on naval operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop real-time software on Linux using C++ and Java
- Dive deep into all phases of the development process, using the best available tools and modern architectures
- Shape naval training systems like CIAT - Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) and Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Trainer
- Travel to strategic locations like Pearl Harbor, San Diego, and Norfolk
Skills
- B.S./B.A. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. Government granted security clearance
- Interim Secret security clearance required for employment
- 0+ years of C++ or Java software development
- Strong Linux tools/library knowledge
- Solid grasp of software engineering principles
- Advanced degree, continuing education in computer science, or advanced math/physics background
- Experience in cluster computing
- Experience in signal processing
- Experience in Kubernetes
- Experience in numerical simulation
- Experience in multi-threading
- Experience in GPUs
- Experience in data visualization
