Summary
Sun Ophthalmics is building a commercial team focused on ethical, customer-centered service in the ophthalmics market. The Account Manager will develop relationships with healthcare professionals, deliver approved educational and therapeutic-area messaging, increase awareness of ophthalmic products and treatment gaps, and achieve territory activity and financial goals.
Responsibilities
- Reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with target HCPs
- Deliver MLR approved, education-focused messages, as well as the assigned therapeutic area disease-state information to target HCPs
- Business planning and execution
- Enhance HCP awareness of Sun Ophthalmics products, clinical data, safety, and efficacy
- Equip HCPs with appropriate tools to facilitate a robust conversation, enabling them to teach their patients about the assigned therapeutic area
- Build HCP knowledge and confidence in identifying treatment gaps in all domains
- Increase awareness of the assigned therapeutic area and help HCP identify treatment gaps in diagnosed patients
- Metrics: Expected to achieve call activity and adherence targets; as well as financial goals for assigned territory

- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree required
- Two or more years of pharmaceutical sales experience or equivalent
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of healthcare institutions and commercial managed care
- Ability to travel domestically as necessary, which may include overnight travel, majority of time will be spent in market
- Preferably in a scientific field
- Two or more years of specialty pharmaceutical experience or equivalent, preferably in the assigned therapeutic area
- Experience selling within healthcare institutions preferred
- Eye Care/Ophthalmology experience preferred
