This is an INTERNAL recruitment. Applicants must be current regular, temporary or relief/on-call employees of Marion County.
The mission of the District Attorney's Office is to seek justice through:Phone and walk-in contacts, receive information, receive and handle correspondence/manage several email proxies, answer questions using computer information, refer calls, explain policies and procedures to public, hand out discovery, cash/credit card handling/Teller POS, data entry;
Records go-list daily. Files death reports. Process evidence dispositions;
Orders office supplies. Outgoing mail-order supplies and sort, bundle, and prepare for the daily pick up. Incoming US/Interagency mail processing;
Updates court events. Processes diversion progress/dismissals.
Miscellaneous projects.
Pull and file DA files.
Crosstrain in other Legal Secretary 1 duties and provide support where the business need is greatest.
Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
PUBLIC SERVICE LOAN FORGIVENESS Marion County is a qualifying public employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. Through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program, full-time employees working at the County may qualify for forgiveness of the remaining balance on Direct Student Loans after 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan. VISA SPONSORSHIP Marion County does not offer VISA sponsorship. Within three days of hire, you will be required to complete the US Department of Homeland Security’s I-9 form confirming authorization to work in the United States.
