CLERKSHIPS

Judicial clerkship positions for the 2027-2028 term have been filled. The application window for

the 2028-2029 term will open in early 2027.

INTERNSHIPS

Judge Ripken welcomes interns throughout the school year and over the summer. These are unpaid

or for-credit positions that allow students a first-hand opportunity to observe and participate in the work of

the Court. Interns are hired on a rolling basis.

Candidates should submit the following materials as a single PDF document to Chambers Counsel

Lauren Stone at Lauren.Stone@mdcourts.gov:

(1) Cover letter

(2) Resume

(3) Unofficial law school transcript

(4) One writing sample

(5) One legal reference with telephone number, email, and relationship to the applicant.

The subject line should specify “Judicial Intern: [Applicant’s Name].”
